Position Overview:
The High School Principal provides dynamic leadership and strategic direction to the high school division, ensuring academic excellence, spiritual development, and alignment with the school’s mission. This role involves collaboration with the Elementary and Middle School Principals, fostering a cohesive and Christ-centered educational experience across all grade levels. The High School Principal oversees faculty, staff, and students in grades 9-12, promoting a culture of academic achievement, spiritual growth, and personal integrity.

This role involves collaboration with the Elementary and Middle School Principals, fostering a cohesive and Christ-centered educational experience across all grade levels. The High School Principal oversees faculty, staff, and students in grades 9-12, promoting a culture of academic achievement, spiritual growth, and personal integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the high school division that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
- Foster a Christ-centered, academically rigorous, and supportive school culture.
- Serve as a spiritual and professional role model for faculty, staff, and students (1 Peter 5:2-3).
Academic Excellence:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of a challenging curriculum that prepares students for college and beyond.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and stay informed of educational best practices (1 Corinthians 14:40).
- Promote and support professional development opportunities for high school faculty (Philippians 2:4).
Spiritual Development:
- Integrate biblical principles into all aspects of the high school’s academic and extracurricular programs.
- Collaborate with the campus pastor and faculty to provide meaningful spiritual formation opportunities for students and staff (Proverbs 16:3).
Student Development:
- Promote student engagement in academics, athletics, arts, and service opportunities.
- Maintain high expectations for student behavior and character, fostering a positive and respectful school climate (Proverbs 22:6).
- Work with counselors and faculty to provide guidance and support for student academic and personal growth.
Faculty and Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and mentor high school faculty and staff, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and values (1 Peter 4:10).
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among faculty and staff (Colossians 4:6).
Operational and Administrative Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the high school’s budget in collaboration with the Head of School.
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, events, and facility use (1 Corinthians 14:40).
- Ensure a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Colossians 3:23).
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Elementary and Middle School Principals to ensure smooth transitions between divisions and continuity of the school’s mission.
- Partner with parents, alumni, and the broader school community to foster engagement and support for the high school.
Qualifications:
- Must have earned a Master's Degree in Education or other related field.
- Must have taught in the classroom a minimum of (3) years.
- Must have already obtained or will obtain ACSI Administrative Certification during the first year of employment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do, with a servant heart and optimistic attitude (Philippians 2:3)
- Conduct yourself in a manner that reinforces the core values of Calvary Chapel and agree to our Statement of Faith
- Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings in coordination with direct supervisor (1 Peter 4:10)
- Demonstrate a mature, ongoing personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrity
