Hours per week: 28 hours, Part-Time

Job Summary:
This position provides a visual security presence and monitors physical security and safety of students, employees, visitors and facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide security for Calvary Chapel Academy along with helping with arrival and/or dismissal
• Monitor parking lots especially when classes dismiss
• Provide church ministries with security and safety support (Psalm 133:1)
• Maintain a field notebook and accurate reports of any security related incidents
• Assume Security Supervisor duties when needed
• Carry out emergency procedures as needed
• Rapid response to medical situations
• Interface with local law enforcement as needed (Matthew 5:9)
• Be familiar with Emergency Action Plan and Procedures for the Viera campus, CCM and CCA (1 Chronicles 9:22-23)
• Support childcare workers with a measured level of security (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
• May be required to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally
• Travel to other campuses as required for work and training
• Keep the ministry in the forefront of all you do
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)
Job Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations, adapting to change and exercising discernment (2 Corinthians 9:8)
• Must be able to handle large events and gatherings (1 Corinthians 14:33)
• Willingness to engage people in conversation and prayer
• Be able to write legible and accurately to document personal reports and records
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills (1 Peter 4:10)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word
• Desire to protect people while keeping Christ as the center (Ephesians 4:3)
• Ability to handle required training without losing focus on the task at hand
• Capable of holding a state D and G license, as well as CPR and First Aid Certificate
• Pass PA (physical assessment) test
Other Qualifications:
